A key part of the course is \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003egrinding, refining and mirror-polishing the rim of the bowl\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, creating a bright reflective edge that contrasts with the darker forged steel surface. This polished band gives the finished piece a much more refined, sculptural appearance.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe emphasis is on \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eactually making something\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. This is not simply a blacksmithing demonstration — you will work at the forge yourself and leave at the end of the session with the steel bowl you have made.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNo previous blacksmithing or metalworking experience is required.
